If I go into device manager, disable the wi-fi adapter and then re-enable it, everything goes back to working normal.
Its only in my laptop, the router itself is fine and my cellphone stays connected.

I've just installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (kernel versionĤ.8.0-36-generic) on new notebook with Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32) and it doesn't work.
