Sudo wget -O /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/firmware-4.bin Sudo wget -O /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board-2.bin Sudo wget -O /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board.bin I've also tried to do this: sudo rm /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/* 2> /dev/null Product: QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network AdapterĬapabilities: bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wirelessĬonfiguration: broadcast=yes driver=ath10k_pci driverversion=4.8.0-36-generic firmware=WLAN.RM.2.0-00180-QCARMSWPZ-1 latency=0 link=no multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11 ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: Direct firmware load for ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/firmware-5.bin failed with error -2 ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: pci irq msi oper_irq_mode 2 irq_mode 0 reset_mode 0 ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: kconfig debug 0 debugfs 1 tracing 1 dfs 0 testmode 0 This is the output of dmesg | grep ath10k command: ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: pci irq msi oper_irq_mode 2 irq_mode 0 reset_mode 0 When I trying to enadle wi-fi in settings, I cant't do this. Sudo cp /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/firmware-4.bin_WLAN.RM.2.0-00180-QCARMSWPZ-1 /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/firmware-4.binīut wi-fi still doesn't work. If I go into device manager, disable the wi-fi adapter and then re-enable it, everything goes back to working normal.

Its only in my laptop, the router itself is fine and my cellphone stays connected.

I found the solution in Internet but it doesn't work for me.Ĭopied this drivers into /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174 directory Im having a problem where my wi-fi suddenly drops and I cant connect back to any network. I've just installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (kernel versionĤ.8.0-36-generic) on new notebook with Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32) and it doesn't work.
